So normally opening early would be a simple kind gesture for the eagerly awaiting guests, but the 30 min gift from California Adventure did nothing but worsen the frenzy. People lost self control, their sense of order and civility. When the gates opened there were grandmothers running dragging their grandchildren, people flailing and pushing like the world was ending.
